Katarina is delighted to be serving as a Co-President and Secretary General of MACMUN for the 2022/2023 year. She is in her final year of Honours Social Psychology, specializing in Law, Justice, Crime, and Deviance, and excited to close out her time at McMaster with another year of Model UN. In the past Kat has worked as a staff and Secretariat member for MACMUN, after leading an award winning team in high school. When she is not running debates, you can find Kat trying out new recipes on her friends, planning her next trip, or meeting with the members of the amazing Secretariat to plan this year's conference. The opportunity to bring the MacMUN community back together is one of the most exciting aspects of this year for Kat. She cannot wait to meet new members of the McMaster community who are looking to get involved in MUN, and show them the debate, diplomacy, and community Mac has to offer.
Mariyam is in her fourth year of Life Sciences. In her role as Co-Secretary-General, she oversees all club and conference activities alongside Katarina. She plans MACMUN events throughout the year, coordinates with other McMaster clubs and works with the Secretariat to organize the conference. Mariyam has been involved with MUN since high school, where she attended many conferences. In the past Mariyam has worked with MACMUN as a Junior Executive, Committee Chair, the USG of Delegate Affairs as well as the USG Committees. Outside of MACMUN, Mariyam volunteers with children and the elderly. You can find her at home tending to her ungrateful plants, trying to find the extended scenes from Spiderman: No Way Home and at HSL wearing 3 layers because it’s freezing. To Mariyam, expanding your world means broadening your perspectives and constantly challenging your own ideas. MACMUN contributes to this effort by nurturing a setting where meaningful discourse can occur and students can begin to understand other perspectives.

Oyin Aderibigbe is a second-year Arts & Science student. She is thrilled to be serving as the USG Committees on the MACMUN Executive Team this year, after having previously worked as a Junior Executive. Her Model UN journey began when she joined her high school’s delegation as a novice delegate five years ago. Since then, her love for Model UN has grown and led her to be involved in several related initiatives on a local, national, and international scale. Oyin is passionate about creating positive environments in Model UN by providing support for delegates who haven’t been exposed to debating in a MUN setting before. In her spare time, she enjoys getting involved in her community, analyzing poetry and prose, learning different languages, and playing Just Dance. She is excited to see you all at MACMUN 2023!

UNDER-SECRETARY-GENERAL OF DELEGATE AFFAIRS
Hiya is currently in her final year of a combined Honours in Economics and Political Science. In her role as the USG of Delegate Affairs, she works to build relationships with the post-secondary level MUN community. Hiya is also a Content and Research Developer for the community-based organization, Staywoke, as well a teaching assistant for the Economics and Engineering departments. She can otherwise be spotted desperately trying to write essays that she definitely procrastinated on, mending thrifted or up-cycled clothing and reading opinion pieces in the New Yorker. To Hiya, MACMUN aims to inspire individuals to speak on critical, perennial issues in an environment that encourages individuals to refine their capacity for leadership and advocacy. She believes that to “Expand your world”, one must embrace being a part of the generation of change and broaden their experiences to contribute towards a more prospective future. By proudly fostering a global community of sustainability, innovation and collective growth, Hiya believes that we can prove to make great strides in our pursuit for a better world.

UNDER-SECRETARY-GENERAL OF MEDIA OPERATIONS
Justin is our USG Media Operations for this year's conference. He is in his fourth year, majoring in Political Science and Economics. He has taken part in a few MUN conferences (and one Model City Hall) in the past, and was a member of MACMUN's Media Team last year as a News Anchor. Justin spent his summer hiking, camping, and working on his car to make sure it survived all the road trips. He is thrilled that campus is lively and packed with students again, and can't wait for all of the delegates and staff to feel the same when we bring the MACMUN community back together!
Junior Executives are 1st or 2nd year students that support the Executive team in their endeavours, shadow one or more executive department(s), and assume a staff position during the MACMUN conference, whether that's as a committee chair, crisis analyst, or media team member. While constitutionally not a part of the Secretariat, they play a large role in the planning of the conference and also get an inside look at the process, gleaning valuable experience that can translate to future iterations of the conference or other opportunities in the future.
Applications for Junior Executives for the 2022/23 year will be released in September.
